This antique Chinese trunk or chest has a medium brown finish, which reveals a beautiful wood grain. The hinged lid open 2/3rds. The trunk is sturdy and heavy. The center medallion is square and made of brass, as are the carrying handles at either side. The interior's bottom is reinforced with a second floor. Camphor wood was used to protect the contents from insects.
