Antique Asian Flower Stand (Antique Chinese Round Flower Stand). This 18th century Chinese flower/display stand's finish has not been fully restored. It has only been cleaned; thereby revealing many lacquer layers of its history.
Because of its size, it was probably meant to go on a Kang platform. With a piece of glass cut for the top, this table would make an excellent cocktail table.
The table is round and has four curving legs which are adhered to a round open base. The apron between each of the legs is carved simply. The center of the top panel is indented, suggesting that something of value may have been placed on the table.
