Antique Cherub garnet LOCKET Necklace & baby

What a huge impressive old locket this is with two of the most adorable children’s photos inside!( I have more photos of this if you want to email me) The locket is a whopping 2 1/4” ( not counting the gorgeous 1” elaborate hanger) and it has a genuine 3/4 CT bohemian garnet in it. The locket has fancy open filigree work with the raised relief cherub on top of that. The back of the locket has ornate etchings as well. The glass garnet color faceted chain measures 25” long and has a rich golden patina. The locket is quite substantial and is well made with good weight to it. The locket has its original photo protector and metal brass frame to hold the photos. I would say these photos are from the late 1800’s. This came out of an estate in NY and we have had it for many many years before offering it for sale this week. Since this is Irreplaceable there can be no returns on this sale.
