Antique British 1912 pattern cavalry officer’s sword with nickel plated and chased with scrolling foliage large steel basket hilt, wire bound leather grip. Straight single edged blade with spear point and fuller etched on the both sides with royal Arms and the cypher GRV amongst the acanthus scrolls. Forte etched with Star of David. Nickel plated steel scabbard square end, detachable mouthpiece with two suspension rings.
CONDITION: same wear to nickel plate minor bubbling and corrosion on the scabbard and basket.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length in scabbard 111.7cm (44 in)
