Antique Bacchus jeweled locket necklace bookchain and brooch

This fierce Bacchus or possibly Zeus figure head guards this red faceted paste jewel on this fabulous old locket that has the most beautiful detail on the front and back. It hangs from an old bookchain necklace that had an extender added because it was too small to fit around most peoples neck. Rich old brass is always my favorite type of metal because of the golden hue it gives off. Everything around it just shows as a much warner color. This is also a brooch so you can wear it as two separate pieces. Originally an old watch fob like brooch, it held the locket ( which is original to it) and would havebeen placed over one's heart to hold a loved ones photo. THis still has the original cellos and old parchment paper inside. The brooch / pendant locket measures 4" long and 1 1/2" wide.
