An interesting and collectible prototype tile from The Mosaic Tile Company of Zanesville, Ohio. This is an example of a prototype tile that gives the pattern number in the upper left corner and shows the decorators at the Mosaic Company which colors (which are denoted with combination letter and letter and number codes) to use when coloring the transfer-printed image of the pattern. Apparently, only the figure was colored in this pattern and the landscape in the background possibly left white. The tile is in excellent condition. Please write with any questions you may have.
