Antique American Folk Art Pastel Dog Portrait Painting

Unavailable
This delightful, antique pastel drawing on paper depicts the portrait of a lap dog. It dates from the late nineteenth century and resides in an old frame under antique glass. This work was reframed sometime in the mid twentieth century by Fred Olsson's Art Shop of Cambridge Mass. There is a hand-written note on the paper backing which reads "This is a drawing of the doggie owned by mary Woolson when she was a little girl of fourteen". The frame measures 19.25" by 15.25" by .75". We have not removed the print to inspect the drawing and we are selling the work "as-is". The antique glass has three bubble imperfections which are visible in our images. The work is unsigned. Additional images forwarded upon request.
