ANtique 1860's Snake mesh Slide necklace

This intricate piece is made of exquisite hand wrought chains that are braided and pressed into this snake like form with the hole in its head for the tail to slide thru. THe color is such a rich golden almost rose gold that it is like no other color you see unless it has aged naturally. This measures 20" long x 3/4" at its widest. IT hangs like silk and has tassels at the end. You can adjust it to wear it as a choker or longer so you do get a few looks out of it. Being well over 140 years old, the coloring on the metal has changes where the slide rested for a long period of time.
