The Antillian (Antillean) League of New York - Arthur France's ceremonial collar, apron and gavel. Founded in 1915 by Arthur B France, the Antillian League was a Black mutual aid and instructional society serving Afro –Caribbean community. Benevolent organizations such as the Antillian League helped institutionalize the ethnic presence of Harlem in the early 20th Century. Immigrants from the West Indies had a great influence on the Harlem Renaissance
