I know the photos are dark but this metal box is really dark in person so it was hard to get a good photo. If you click on any of these you can enlarge it and get a much better idea of how detailed and unusual this odd shaped box is. IT has not been cleaned so the ornate works on the sides really don't show up that well. The top has a chinese man ? woman? with a hook in their mouth which I am assuming was used to weave this basket they have in their hands. THis box is REALLY heavy for its size. The dimensions are 3" x 3" x 1 3/4".THis was either a snuff box or a small sewing box. IT is a really neat antique box.
