Very rare and elegant figural decanter in the form of a bird. The top-quality crystal is mold-blown and then hand-cut to resemble feathers. The hinged head is silverplate with glass paperweight eyes. The maker is unknown, but is of the quality expected from Baccarat, Moser and other top-level European glasshouses. Origin: Continental, ca. 1910. Condition: Mint except for a tiny nick on the underside of the rim at the tip of the tail, and a bit of wear on the silverplating. 8" long; 5" high.
