This 18th Century Silver American Spoon was make by BENJAMIN PITMAN, who worked out of Providence, Rhode Island. Spoon has a standard Benjamin Pitman mark...see Kovel's "American Silver Marks", page 295. Fine example of American Colonial silver by good silversmith, original hand engraved initials ABB?
