Beautifully engraved certificate from the Alabama Great Southern Railroad issued in 1906. This historic document was printed by the American Banknote Company and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of a train. This item is hand signed by the Companys Assistant to the President and Secretary and is over 96 years old.
Certificate Vignette The line ran from Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Meridian, Mississippi (291 miles). It was ap product of the reorganization in 1877 from the Alabama and Chattanooga Railroad Company.
