Vintage Academy Arts "Historical Sampler" of the Boston Tea Party in a maple and black finished wooden frame. This hand-embroidered sampler depicts American colonists and Indians throwing boxes of tea from a ship into the harbor. A banner across the bottom reads The Boston Tea Party ~ December, 1793. It is signed by the maker, B.E. The piece is beautifully framed in a maple finished wooden frame with painted gold and black velvet trim. The frame measures approximately 22.75 inches wide, 16.75 inches wide and 1 inch thick. The sampler area measures approximately 19.5 inches by 13.75 inches. This piece is in very good condition, with light wear and a bit of missing finish to the frame and a few small areas of discoloration on the sampler.
