A pair of Vintage American pattern glass candy dishes with Frank N. Whiting & Co. Sterling silver candle holder bases. These are a duel use design. The silver bases are actually candle holders. They can be unscrewed from the glass candy dishes and then they become candle holders. The holders are signed on the bottom, Whiting & Davis Sterling. The bases of the sterling are weighted because of the weight of the glass, therefore one of the silver holders has some stress signs on it. The other one shows no stress signs. The old glass candy dishes are still in perfect condition with no breaks or chips.
