A Mermaids FOE North Wind BRacelet

Unavailable
Aeolus is the Greek god of the winds, and a son of Poseidon. Something a Mermaid would dread to see. The gods gave him dominion over the winds, which he kept in vast caves on the mythical island of Aeolia. This bracelet has a mirrored image of this fierce God protecting a lilac rhinestone center that looks like the lights of an Alaskan sky. The North Wind and the Sun disputed as to which was the most powerful, and agreed that he should be declared the victor who could first strip a wayfaring man of his clothes. The North Wind first tried his power and blew with all his might, but the keener his blasts, the closer the Traveler wrapped his cloak around him, until at last, resigning all hope of victory, the Wind called upon the Sun to see what he could do. The Sun suddenly shone out with all his warmth. The Traveler no sooner felt his genial rays than he took off one garment after another, and at last, fairly overcome with heat, undressed and bathed in a stream that lay in his path. Persuasion is better than Force. The metal cuff is wide( 2 1/4") Bronze and layered in wonderful relief that encompass the front and part of the sides. This measures 6" long on the metal part with an additional gap of 1 1/2". Such an ornate assemblage bracelet! VintageSparkles offers Layaway on all our pieces regardless of which site it comes from.
