'93 SEGUSO Ltd Ed Vaso Elisse Glass

Unavailable
This olive shaped vase in opaque blue glass with black Damasco decoration and big transparent eyes on the sides, was one of only 99 that were hand-blown in 1993 by the Murano artist, Giampaolo Seguso (son of the master Archimede Seguso), to celebrate the opening of his new factory, Seguso Vero. This limited edition piece, entitled Vaso Elisse, was inscribed by the artist himself. Measures 13 5/8" high by 7 3/4" wide by 3 1/2" deep and weighs an estimated 15 lbs. This work is in pristine condition and still carries the Murano Made in Italy sticker. Also included in this listing is the original watercolor painted by Giampaolo Seguso, signed and numbered to match the piece. We have two other works by Giampaolo Seguso, so please be sure to search the rest of our inventory. In 1993 Seguso designed this piece and twenty-nine others, each sold in a limited edition of just 99, to celebrate and promote his new factory. This collection was featured in the book La Galleria Dei 99: L' Incalmo by Rosa Barovier Mentasti.
