Five deck lot of vintage playing cards, circa 1950's, including 4 unsealed decks, 1 advertising deck, and 1 round deck. There is a deck of vintage Congress playing cards, sealed, with the Cel-U-Tone Finish, featuring the "Hope Diamond - Smithsonian Institution"; it comes in a velvety-finish cardboard slide-out case. There are two decks of sealed "Allied's Coat of Arms" playing cards, with tax stamps, and a booklet describing the coat of arms. The Coat of Arms cards are in a two piece red and clear plastic case with "Christmas Greetings 1955" written in gold, along with an illegible signature. In tiny raised letters on the bottom of the case is "Remembrance, BROWN & BIGELOW, ST. PAUL, MINN. U.S.A., 2". There is an unsealed deck of Stardust plastic coated playing cards with "Nu-Vue Tint" with ladybug design. There is a deck of 52 loose playing cards advertising "Shire-Tex slacks by Davenshire" "For that Custom Look". The cards depict a modern young woman (for the 1950's) leaning against a brick wall that says "Davenshire inc." The Davenshire card design is in shades of green. The final item is a deck of round playing cards, with a British flag design, in a two piece plastic case; the case bottom has a raised logo for W.P.P. & Toys Mfy over the words MADE IN HONG KONG.
