Unavailable
To a fine and rare soft pine early neoclassic fireplace mantelpiece. The arcaded shelf has rich stepped moulding above a similar belt course, below is a course of punch and gouge dentilation. The plain frieze is mounted with three reeded tablets. A moulded belt course crosses the frieze and forms two capitals above similar capitals applied to reeded pilasters mounted to the mantel legs or jambs. The pilasters are footed on moulded plinths and a rich trim section surrounds the heart opening and supports the center tablet. The mantel has been hand cleaned of all old paint buildup, woodwork repairs have been made as necessary and a rich hand rubbed patina finish applied. Should you wish to paint the mantel, use a soft cloth with turpentine to remove any wax from the surface of the mantel prior to painting. NOTE: This mantle should be installed by your mechanic in accordance with all local fire and building codes. (#1471)
