This is a stunning Mirror made during the reign of Napoleon III by the middle part of the 19th century, commonly called Miroir de Maries a Parclose by the French ( Cushion Wedding Mirror). The crest is beautifully accented with an adorable couple of birds representing Love sitting on the classical Torch and Quiver of Arrows typical patterns of the Louis XVI style, upon an intricately embellished cushion frame highlighting the central beveled mirrors and panes with floral, twisted ribbon and acanthus motifs. Note some scratches and darks spots can be seen on the mirrors due to the age. Circa date 1860. Dimensions 62"high/ 39"wide.
