1940's Art Deco Bakelite Child's Magnus Organ # 1510

Unavailable
Nice child's Magnus Organ, model # 1510, an electric reed organ with art deco design Bakelite case, manufactured by the Magnus Harmonica Corp. of Linden, New Jersey, circa late 1940's, early 1950's. This cool, retro music piece, has an on/off switch on the side which operates an electric fan that blows air across the organ's reeds. The electric fan takes the place of foot-powered bellows on larger organs. This electric reed organ was not manufactured as a toy, but rather as a beginner's musical instrument. It measures about 7 inches high, 11 inches wide, and 6 inches deep, and is in very good condition. One turns it on using the switch, lets it warm up for 30 - 60 seconds, and it makes vibrant organ music by playing the two octave keyboard. The case is in very good condition, bright and shiny, with slight surface wear and scratching. Shipping / packaging is estimated to be $12 - $20, depending on the zip code of the buyer.
