A rare treat indeed! This is a Tiffany Studios letter holder in pine needle pattern. It is an original Tiffany desk accessory that measures 10'' x 6.25'' x 2.25''. As you can see in the photo the base is stamped, ''Tiffany Studios New York, 1008''. Luminous panels feature pine needle etching over amber and ivory colored glass slag. When you hold it to the light you can see the different colors. There are 5 panels of glass including the sides that are all encased in brass. Back and front panel has cracks ( see photo as it is hard to see till you hold it to the light) it has not been polished or cleaned and has aged to a yellow brass color ( the photos are a little more red, which it is not) . It has most of its original gold dore finish with top edges that are worn and and scratching to base. Someone had felt feet on it at one time. Inside it has a lot of the golden color missing ( see photo) A rare and lovely piece for a gentleman or ladies desk.
