This is an early Flint Glass butterdish from around the years of 1840-60. Imagine, that was before the civil war. It's amazing that it has survived all of these years. The pattern is called Horn of Plenty. This is the type of glass you sometimes see in the beautiful house muesuems adorning their dining tables. The butter dish measures 6 iinches across.
