1800's Vintage Fabric
There is 4 yards of this 1800's block print fabric. There are 2 - 2 yard pieces. These were at one time sewn together and was part of the backing for a tied wool comforter. You can see the needle and yarn holes in several places where the comforter was tied. It has a light tan background with a large floral and fern print in rose, teal, gold and yellow colors. The fabric most likely came from either France or England and would have been produced between 1800 and 1810. The fabric has no fading as the 1/4" salvage area in the seams is the same shade and coloring as the fabric itself. One of the 2 yard pieces does have a dark water stain line running across it's width as shown in picture #3. This stain is 30" in from one end of this 2 yard piece. It sells for $50.00 per 1/2 yard increment.
