Listed in the 2010 Redbook on pages 50 and 51 with a value in EF $$700 which seems a tad high

Breen #289 on page 48 of his Complete Encyclopedia of US and Colonial Coins.

Vlack #6a, An Illustrated Catalogue of the French Billon Coinage In the Americas, page 21.

This coin is the STAR after the date variety.  Breen calls it extrmely rare and Vlack Rarity-2.  Let's go with Bob Vlack and call this a common variety.

Billon is a low grade silver, usually about 20 to 23%.  This specimen shows mostly full silver.  Some examples look almost entirely copper color showing.

30 Deniers aka Mousquetaire aka Musketeers come crudely struck from crude dies and often poor quality billon planchets.  Diameter is about 24mm or aobut 15/16th of an inch.
