These corks came from an old medical company where they were used in bottles many years ago. There were several bags of them. The bags were marked Circle B Corks, Armstrong Cork Company Pittsburgh, PA U.S.A. The inspectors tags were in the bags and say they were counted by Carrie Ernst. The tags (I only have two of them which I am keeping) are dated 1890. Because the bags were sealed, the corks are like new and are a great size for many old salt and pepper shakers. They are just shy of 3/4" long and are 1/2" diameter at the widest point.
