A Finely Basketry woven Hupa ,Early 1900's Treasure basket with lid and hoop handle. The treasure basket is 2.00 inches tall and 5.50 inches across the top lid and the flat bottom base is 4.50 inches across. This little treasure is finely woven. The cover contains 30 rows of fine woven coils. The bottom of the basket contains 23 rows of coils. There are 20 rows of coils in it's height. A very old piece of Hupa Basketry containing natural dyed green and red motifs. In fairly good condition for it's age with only the last row of coils on the lid has come partly loose. A nice old piece of Native American art basketry.
