Mexican Revolution Soldadera (Woman Soldier) Shirt. Homespun cotton fabric, hand embroidered with a Soldadera herself on the back, cactus on the front pockets, simple green bakelite buttons, which may have replaced the old hand made ones, and has ties in the front. The shirt is clean, but has a darker sweat stain in the front, I washed and ironed it, but I did not want to bleach the fabric, and lose the patina. The discoloration is hardly noticeable, and adds to the charm. The shirt measures 22 inches from neck to hem, 40 inches from armhole to armhole, and 20 inches for the sleeve inseam. As always, too little has been said about the women who fight in any war, so that makes this a special and historical garment. Thanks for shopping in the Land of Enchantment!
