Broad tapering double-edged blade with strong medial ridge on one side; symmetrical triangular side lugs with a maker’s mark stamped on one side. Conical ferrule with integral side straps, mounted on section of ancient worm-eaten octagonal haft with textile covering and brass dome-headed nails. A fighting spear with sharpened edges, showing lamination and forging flaws. Length of metal 30", overall length 33".
