Zippo Lighter Saved Three Yachtsmen Ad 1966 This is a November 11, 1966 advertisement It is a nice black and white ad from Zippo Mfg. Co. of Bradford, Pa with nice graphics from an early magazine. It pictures a lit Zippo and it reads, This Zippo saved three shipwrecked yachtsmen. It reads fire forced Captain Paul O. Barke and two passengers to abandon the yacht Aweigh in July 1965. No signal flares. When they heard a boat they used their Zippo as a flare. It worked. In mint condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This magazine tear sheet measures 10 1/2"" wide by 13 3/4"" tall.
