World War II era Sheaffer fountain pen, # 875, with black and gold stripes, silver metal band and military clip, a Sheaffer's Lifetime nib, and the famous white dot which symbolizes quality. From an estate collection, this pen was made for armed services personnel; it has the shorter military clip designed for military uniforms. The pen measures a little more than 5 inches long and has a plunger-type filler. The barrel of the pen is inscribed with W.A. SHEAFFER PEN, FORT MADISON, IOWA, U.S.A., PATENTED IN USA, 875. The nib is a brass or gold color with a silver metal tip; it is inscribed SHEAFFER'S, LIFETIME, REG. U.S. PAT. OFF., MADE IN U.S.A.
