WLS Prairie Farmer's Weekly Magazine. This is a September 19, 1936 issue of Stand By, WLS Prairie Farmer's Radio Weekly. Front cover color is Orange and Black with some white lettering. Fifteen pages. Front cover is Al Boyd, held many jobs in the Prairie Farmer Building. Was a sound effects man on WLS, then production man. Was known as Uncle Al on Jolly Joes; Palsy-Walsy program. Feature: Page 5 has a newly wed picture of Pat and Mrs. Buttram, the former Dorothy McFadden of Chicago. Has articles and pictures inside pertaining to radio in that era. Sometime in the life of this magazine someone has pasted a one cent stamp on the front cover. Also has an address penciled in and dated 9-12-36. Has a 1/2" tear on the side through both covers and all the pages but otherwise in excellent condition. Measures 8 1/2" by 11 1/2"
