Pair of "Pheasant" pattern plates marked "Whieldon Ware", made by F. Winkle of England. Earthenware body with hand-painted enamels over transfer with gold trim, circa 1908-25. Central pattern features a Chinese/Asiatic pheasant. Each plate measures 8.75"d. Minor rim glitches, mostly extra glaze. Some wear to the gold trim and some scratches to the surfaces. Sold as is, and as a pair. Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
