Washington DC Capitol Front & Side PC This is a nice black and white postcard and on the lower right of the card is printed, The U.S. Capitol, Washington, DC. Has a white border. Shows front and one end of the building. On the back it reads, set on a height overlooking the amphitheater of the Potomac, is one of the largest and stateliest buildings in the World. Cornerstone was laid by President Washington in 1793. The building was finished in 1797 and extensions were occupied by Congress in 1857 and 1859. C T Photo Finish.
