Vintage Shenandoah Community Workers Wooden Tray/Cheese Board 1930s VA

Unavailable

Hand-crafted round wooden tray/cheese board, made by the Shenandoah Community Workers of Bird Haven, Virginia.  Dates from around the 1930s, when the commune was actively making items for resale to the Appalachian tourist trade.  Measures 14"d x 1"h, with a raised center for the cheese, or bowl if you prefer.  Paper label is still intact on the back.  Could use some refinishing, but usable in it's present condition. Has been cleaned and treated with food-grade beeswax paste for protection. Sold as is.  Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
