Vintage Red Cameo Kewpie Ragsy Doll

This wonderful little 8 inch Kewpie in a red snowsuit is called a Ragsy. It was made in 1963 by Cameo. The vinyl body has a working squeaker in the foot that squeaks when the doll is squeezed. It was produced in several colors, but I think red is the most striking and popular color. This Ragsy was wearing a ribbon banner from the 1984 Kewpiesta Convention when I purchased her, so I have left it in place. It is just held in back with a piece of tape so would be easy to remove. Perhaps the doll was given away at the meeting or purchased there? The back of the head and body have the Cameo 63 logo and the head has initials that might be the designer. The condition is really very good with the only paint rubs around the top knot hole, where they all seem to have some rubs. The loss is really minimal and otherwise the condition is excellent.
