This little sewing kit comes in the same type of metal box that a vintage powder compact does. The lid is covered with plastic with a mother of pearl look. It is marked in gold ink "Sewing Esentials" (missing an "s"), and there is a threaded needle between the words. The interior is lined in red felt. A small pair of silver metal scissors marked U.S.A. at the joint is tucked into a slot on the felt in the lid. The bottom holds a piece of cardboard tucked in at each side with 6 different colored threads - black, pale yellow, pale blue, pale brown, pink and white. Also included are an aluminum needle threader and a packet of 4 Sharp's High Grade 3/9 Flower Parrot needles.
