Vintage Fiesta Kitchen Kraft Radioactive Red Pie Plate 1939-44

$75.00
Quantity available: 1

Fiesta Kitchen Kraft pie plate or baker, in the original red glaze that sets a Geiger counter alight. Measures 9.75"d, though listed as the 9" in the books. Made from 1939-1944, possibly ending earlier due to the war effort, when all uranium was restricted to government use. Gold mark on bottom, as expected. Has a few fine flakes to rim glaze from storage, but appears to have had very little use.  Sold as is.  I've been told that putting this behind glass will render it safe to be around, but no guarantees.  Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
