Vintage Cat with Glass Eyes Figurine or Lamp. This is one of those pieces that is very difficult to describe and rare. It is handmade , you can see fingerprints on the inside of the hollow body of this cat where the clay is formed. There are two distinctive makers marks that are incised into the clay that I can't read. I have done extensive research and determined that it is a French pottery, but I am not certain of the marks. The eyes are hand blown, green with black centers that when you put a small light inside they glow red. The glaze is a blue carnival type that appears to be or have some silver in it to change colors over the years. It is heavy. It would be mint condition, but the left ear has a 1/4" nick (glaze is off) that could be easily repaired, or left alone as it is not easily seen if not pointed out. Aprox 9" long x 5 1/4" tall by aprox 4" across.
