Vintage Bronze Parrot Sculpture -- 51 inches tall

Our client's wonderful bronze figure of a parrot perched on a tree branch measures an impressive 51 inches (1.29 m) tall and dates from the early 20th century.
Exceptionally modeled and cast with a dark brown patina, it is apparently unsigned. In the style of other large parrots by Phillips dating from the early 20th century.
Attributed to the American sculptor, Brad Keeler (1913-1952). The artist was employed by Phillips Bronze and Brass Co. of Los Angeles in the early 1930s. Some castings after his original models were signed 'PHILLIPS'.
In good condition. Fresh from estate sale, there is rubbing wear, scratches and scattered small areas of white house paint that we may remove prior to shipment, plus a handful of areas of verdigris, and embedded surface dirt in crevices. We will gently clean with moistened cloth prior to shipment, careful not to disturb the patina.
