The Victorians always amazed me at the contraptions they came up with that were small and very versatile. This would have been used to squeeze fruit or lemons into tea and or to squeeze the tea out of little satchels. it is marked on the back.   I don't think it is stainless, probably silver plate. This tiny little household accessory measures 2 1/2 x 2 1/2" when closed.     VintageSparkles offers Layaway on all our  pieces regardless of which site it comes from. All layaway payments will need to be in the form of a check or money order only.  Please remember that vintage & antique items are not mint, nor are they perfect but they sure are full of old history and charm.
