Van Heusen Shirts Get Across In Stripes Ad 1947 This is a September 1947 advertisement. It is a nice color ad from Phillips Jones Corp of NY makers of van Heusen Shirts and ties. Ad shows a young lady on one balcony, and a young man on another. They are trying to reach across the space between to kiss. Stretched from one balcony to the other is a clothes line and threestriped shirts are folded, with ties, and hanging on the line. Ad reads, You get across in stripes. In excellent condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 9 3/4 inches wide by 13 1/4 inches tall.
