Umbrella Victorian with Rolled Silver Ornate Handle
Offering this handsome late 1800's Victorian men's or ladies umbrella. The handle is made of rolled sterling silver with incredible ornate curved floral scroll patterns. Handle measures 15 1/2 inches long; new chrome & black tip, jappanned chrome spine tips; heavy duty chrome shaft (which could possibly be original); black nylon fabric is newer, made by Sheridan (Oregon). Very clean, no stains or holes; when open, diameter of umbrella is 43 inches; overall height from top of handle to tip is 42 1/4 inches. Has the wrap around strap with velcro closing; also includes the additional slipcover with velcro to keep umbrella clean when not in use. Good+++ condition on handle, no major damage, a few teeny dings from normal use the last 100+ years. Monogrammed on top of handle and on side.
