Stanley Router Short Knob Single No. 71 Walnut Replacement

$20.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a hand finished (sanded, stained or clear coated), solid walnut hardwood replacement knob that is designed to fit vintage Stanley Router No. 71 & 71-1/2 or a No. 5,6,7,& 8 Stanley Bailey Plane.  This one is imperfect with the counterbore hole on top being slightly out of central location.  We did fit it on the router and jointer planes and it works just fine. These are for the older Stanley routers planes that are marked "MADE IN U.S.A." as they were fitted with short knobs.  The newer routers where fitted with taller knobs, so your shorter nut and screws will fit this replacement knob.  You may use this on the "MADE IN ENGLAND" newer routers, but expect to spend some time shortening your steel screw stem that holds them onto the router as we do not supply the screw or nut.  (We have the newer type tall knobs in other listings at this store). This knob is in otherwise good condition with no damage or cracks, hand formed and all needed holes drilled to fit the router and the mentioned planes This knob is a copy or duplicated shape to the original with slight variation.  The knob is 2.0" long x 1.7" diameter at the widest point. Price is for the knob in the picture only.
