Stanley Router Short Knob Pair No. 71 Walnut Replacement

This is a hand finished (sanded, stained or clear coated), solid walnut hardwood replacement pair of  knobs that are designed to fit vintage Stanley Router No. 71 & 71-1/2.  These are for the older Stanley routers planes that are marked "MADE IN U.S.A." the newer routers where fitted with taller knob, so your shorter nut and screws will fit these replacement knobs.  You may use these on the "MADE IN ENGLAND" new routers, but expect to spend some time shortening your steel screw stem that hold them onto the router as we do not supply the screws or nuts.  (We have the newer type tall knobs in other listings at this store). Each is in very good condition with no damage or cracks, hand formed and all needed holes drilled to fit the router and we tried to match the pair as best that is possible as they are hand formed and each piece of Walnut is unique in appearence. These knobs are a copy or duplicated shape to the original (darker colored knobs in the photo) The knob is 2.0" long x 1.7" diameter at the widest point. Price is per pair of knobs. (We offer in pairs since we have seen so many routers with both knobs cracked over the years). As you can see in the pictures clearance hole and counter bore are in each knob, ready to bolt onto your plane using your original hardware/screws.
