Stanley Ratchet Brace No. 2101A-10IN 10 inch Bell System

Unavailable

This is a nice, clean, used 10 inch swing brace with about 85% of the original nickel plating intact. It is marked "MADE STANLEY U.S.A. 2101A-10 IN BELL SYSTEM" on the steel. It retains about 85% of the original nickel plating, some minor wear, a few dings noted, but in very good working order overall. The black industrial molded hard rubber, or plastic handles are in good shape, with some scratches on either the swing handle or end stock handle, otherwise minor wear noted, but smooth and solid, not cracked. We also note some minor nickel plating flaking on the end stock handle flange area, and on the chuck sleeve, not rusty, cleaned and as smooth as possible. The chuck works very smoothly, (1/2" round shank capacity) a very heavy duty design, good jaw springs to retract jaws when opening the jaws! The jaws are in great shape also.  You can also hold the brace bits with the tapered square ends on them in this chuck. The end handle flange is ball bearing drive, very smooth and easy to turn. Features the very precise smooth and quiet working ratchet systems with the plunger pin control. A favorite brace with many chair, and other furniture makers! It measure 14" long overall & 5" from swing center to chuck centerline. One of the most precision braces ever made!
