Stanley Hand Drill Egg Beater Grants Dept. Store

$45.00
Quantity available: 1

Do you remember GRANTS DEPARTMENT STORES?  I haven't seen that name on a tool for many years, but GRANTS store were much like Wards and Sears in the tools department.  We are offerening this mid-1900's era hand crank drill that is marked "GRANTS PROFESSIONAL GOLD LABEL on a glue on sticker on the main drive wheel.  Basically the drill was sold by Grants and made by Stanley, a basic model with double drive gears, single speed.  It also have a good spring loaded 3-jaw chuck and thread end cap on the handle with drill bit storage inside the handle.  The chuck is 1/4" dia. capacity.  The drill is 11.2"  long overall, with a 3.25" crank/drive wheel.  Comes with 4 spiral drill bits.  As you can see, most of the paint is intact, some chipped off paint on the blue section of the handle mostly, otherwise clean, not rusty, obviously stored in a dry location over the years. The last phot is to compare the Grants' drill to the Stanley H1220 in the same photo.  The H1220 is not included in this offering.
