Stanley Double Marking Gauge No. 71

Quantity available: 1

This is a nice clean double marking gauge that is not marked by Stanley, but is know to be a Stanley No. 71 as it matches their description in the old Stanley catalog. It has little wear overall, good steel scribe points, good brass plates, shoes, and thumbscrews, good slide tracks, and inch graduations. It has inch graduation from 0-6" with very little wear for both adjustable slides. This type has the threaded brass thumbscrews that holds the two beams in place seperately, the threads on both are in very good working order, however we note that one has a good repair in the head, a threaded insert was used, both work great. The threads are in great shape, works fine. This one is in surprisingly nice shape, with one a few minor scratches and small edge dings, most dings are on the ends of the beams, some on the head edges also. Two small holes drilled near one of the thumbscrew holes, no cracks, very solid overall. A hard to find collectible marking gage!
