Interesting solid sculpted stoneware clay pottery quail. It is heavy for it's size as it is not hollow. It has an interesting earthy texture of relief and lines in the way the piece was formed. It looks as if it was made of burl wood but it is actually stoneware made from Mount Saint Helens Ash.  . It is marked on the bottom with an "ST".
