Sydney Z. Lucas Paris Etching Society "Printemps" framed print, circa 1940's - 1950's. Sydney Z. Lucas, originally from Hungary, was a New York print dealer, circa 1940 - 1960. He commissioned etchings from French artists and reproduced them as prints. This piece is a springtime landscape, featuring trees, hills, and a river in springlike pastels. The print has a cream mat with tan trim and a gold-painted frame. The print has a copyright symbol and "Paris Etching Society, N.Y., U.S.A." in the upper left corner. In the lower left corner is the number "107", "SZL" in a circle, and the title "Printemps" in pencil. The artist's signature is in pencil on the right. The entire piece measures about 19.25 inches high, 23.5 inches wide, and 1.25 inches deep. The image measures about 14.5 inches by 10.5 inches.
